# Measure Copilot > Free GA4 and GTM analytics audit tool. 20 deterministic checks across Events, Attribution, Users, and Traffic. Instant results, no sign-in required. Measure Copilot (measurecopilot.com) is a web-based analytics audit tool that checks Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Tag Manager (GTM) implementations for common errors, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps. ## What Measure Copilot does Given a website URL, Measure Copilot: 1. Crawls up to 5 same-domain pages to detect tracking presence and consistency 2. Parses a GTM container export (JSON) to identify duplicate tags, missing consent gating, and risky custom HTML 3. Validates a GA4 raw event export (CSV) against GA4 taxonomy rules and detects missing required parameters 4. Analyzes a GA4 User Acquisition or Traffic Acquisition report (CSV) for attribution quality, user quality, and channel health 5. Checks a tracking plan (CSV) for alignment between intended and actual events 6. Returns a 0–100 health score with ranked findings, each with severity, business impact, recommended fix, and suggested owner ## The 20 checks ### Events (checks 9–12) - Duplicate events within 2-second session windows (inflate conversions) - Missing required event parameters by business type (ecommerce, lead gen, content) - GTM tag quality: zero-param tags, hardcoded measurement IDs, generic naming - GA4 event taxonomy: reserved names, special characters, case violations ### Attribution (checks 3, 14–16, 19) - UTM parameter retention across internal navigation - UTM source/medium naming quality (case consistency, non-standard medium values) - Paid channel attribution coverage (CPC/Display/Social conversion tracking) - Referral exclusion health (payment gateways appearing as referral sources) - Session-level attribution parameter coverage in event data ### Users (checks 17–18) - User ID tracking completeness and cross-device attribution coverage - User acquisition quality and channel diversification (new user engagement per channel) ### Traffic (checks 13) - GA4 Traffic Acquisition: unassigned %, dark traffic, key event rate, engagement quality ### GTM (checks 5–8, 11) - Duplicate GA4 config tags (multiple GA4 configuration tags in GTM) - Consent Mode v2 implementation (default state, update triggers, tag consent settings) - Trigger overlap: tags firing on multiple broad triggers without blocking - Risky Custom HTML tags with tracking API calls or script injection - Tag quality: zero-param event tags, hardcoded measurement IDs ### Website (checks 1–4, 20) - GTM container presence across crawled pages - Hardcoded GA4 gtag.js alongside GTM (dual-tagging risk) - UTM parameter retention across internal links - Pages missing GA4 or GTM tracking - Cross-domain tracking configuration (checkout, booking, payment flows) ## Pricing - Free: 5 audits, no sign-in, no credit card - Pro: $29/month — unlimited audits, email report delivery, scheduled monitoring - Agency: $79/month — white-label PDF reports, team sharing, audit history ## Expert services Measure Copilot also offers hands-on implementation services: - GA4 setup and migration from Universal Analytics - GTM architecture and Consent Mode v2 implementation - Measurement audits with manual review of critical issues - Ongoing monthly or quarterly monitoring retainers ## Technical notes - The audit engine is fully deterministic — no LLM or AI generation is used for findings - Findings include evidence (URLs, tag names, event counts, cookie values) to support each conclusion - Results are stored in Supabase for 7 days and then deleted - Files (GTM JSON, CSV) are processed server-side and never retained or shared ## Contact Website: https://measurecopilot.com Contact: https://measurecopilot.com/subscribe
